Further enhancing our GPS/Comm product line is the easy-to-use GNC 300, which adds IFR certification to the list of nav capabilities found in the GNC 250. Complying with the FAA's TSO C129 A1, the GNC 300 offers non-precision approach, en route and terminal GPS capability under instrument flight rules (IFR). Now, you can experience the reliability, sense of safety and reduced workload that our IFR-certified units bring to flying.
Providing obvious performance benefits, the panel-mounted GNC 300 also offers the efficiency and versatility of a combination unit. Like the GNC 250, the GNC 300 incorporates a VHF communications radio. It presents its information on the same sharp, 80-character vacuum-fluorescent display. And, like the GNC 250, the GNC 300 is ideal for either new aircraft installations or as an update to your current panel.
Incorporating the same MultiTrac8 GPS receiver found in our stand-alone IFR-certified systems, the GNC 300 streamlines 'direct-to' navigation. Its comprehensive Jeppesen database offers a wealth of airport, runway, VOR, NDB, intersection and communication frequency information for either the Western Hemisphere (Americas option) or the rest of the world (International option). Ample room for trip planning, waypoint storage and a 'nearest airport' list provides additional capability. Sectorized, altitude sensitive SUA warnings are also included, made even more useful by the fact that messages (except for prohibited area alerts) are turned off once you load an approach.
The GNC also streamlines GPS operation. It features a NAV/Comm page that automatically provides frequencies from your pre-loaded flight plan, and gives you prompts as you sequence through them (just like GNC 250). And its approach auto-arming feature reduces workload by eliminating the need to manually activate the system.
Fully-TSO'd, the GNC 300 also incorporates a powerful 760 channel digital transceiver for crisp, clear audio communications. As with the GNC 250, the GNC 300's Comm section includes such standard features as flip-flop frequency selection, automatic squelch and our useful 'cursor select' function.
Both the GNC 250 and 300 interface with most flight controls, EFIS, HSI and other cockpit systems. And such thoughtful touches as front-loading data card entry and optional remote battery back-ups help complete the package, giving you a GPS/Comm system that combines the best elements of performance and value, whatever your specific needs are.
