The Writing Foyer Points of Interest...(Links)
Cybernaut Tapestry Cyberspace Goldrush

Why a Homepage? Why would a relatively private person indulge in a homepage--a publicly accessible statement that reveals embraced personal choices, private inner values, and personality idiosyncracies? If exposure is hypothermia to such a person's thoughts, what fire prompted the removal of this person's coat? My fire is a need to connect to family members and students. The job of the written page is to link the past to the present for the future and give permanency to existence. The written record is what passes information from person to person, teacher to student, or generation to generation. My homepage, then, is a statement of self that satisfies this very need--to pass information to my family members and students. Most people acknowledge that family members need warm relationships, but I believe students do, also. I accept both audiences as compatible. Gordon B. Hinkley stated, "Students deserve more than your knowledge. They deserve and hunger for your inspiration. They want the warm glow of personal relationship. This always has been the hallmark of a great teacher." In agreement with this statement, I found it appropriate to blend personal qualifications and professional attitudes under the hyperlink, The Writing Foyer. I separated Personal, Published, and Professional interests into three individual sections which provide a direct pathway to each intended audience. I added the hyperlink Points of Interest...(Links) for anyone who desires to spend time exploring positive areas of enrichment which I value. The third hyperlink, Cyberspace Tapestry, provides a transfer medium for video pictures and sound to be used on occasion by those having the necessary equipment to receive. The fourth hyperlink Cyberspace Goldrush is a hyperlink to include addresses of new, curious, popular, or intricate sites which I may or may not value, but seem to be fun or challenging. My homepage project is ongoing. Various places still remain under construction or need editing/revision effort. Since striving for excellence with a limited time factor has been a struggle in many of my personal endeavors, I find I often need to quote Rev. Oliver G. Wilson's words to myself: "The woods would be a very lonely place if only the best birds sing." This helps me remember that not so perfect things are still valuable. Please consider the singing of birds in the woods while visiting my homepage--enjoy what is here and be patient with what is not.
